For my watercolor choice painting, I did a little hermit crab on the beach. I believe I have good lines in the water giving it a wave effect. I have good texture in the sand not just making it all one flat color by giving it specks all over. I have good value as well by making the eyes very dark but leaving the sand lighter. I think there's a good contrast with the bright red crab against the pale sand. There's also good movement with the waves in the water.
